The Eastwood Fire Protection District is a combination career/volunteer fire department located in eastern Jefferson County. We are made up of 42 firefighters. We cover the Eastwood community, as well as Fisherville and the Long Run Fire District. We operate a quint and quad out of two stations 24 hours a day with career firefighters. Our headquarters station is located 16010 Shelbyville Road, and our station two is located at 15000 Taylorsville Road. These personnel are all medically trained as well, and respond with Louisville Metro Emergency Medical Services, and Shelby County Emergency Medical Services for medical calls within the district. We operate off of unit dispatching, which allows MetroSafe to dispatch the true closest unit to an emergency.
